Presentation categories

NZSO Oral presentations
If your abstract is accepted as an oral presentation you will be allocated a place in the NZSO plenary programme on either Friday or Saturday. You will be advised of your allocated presentation time at the time of abstract acceptance notification.

PHARMAC Emerging Researcher Award oral presentations
You can submit your oral presentation under the PHARMAC Emerging Researcher Award category provided you meet the award criteria. Candidates for the PHARMAC Emerging Researcher Award will be invited to deliver succinct presentations within a dedicated plenary session.

Poster presentations - both NZSO and Nurses
If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you will be required to produce a poster that will be displayed in the exhibition hall. The dimensions of the poster boards are 1.19m wide x 2.3m high. One poster will be allocated to each board. Please click here for full poster guidelines. There will be a dedicated poster session allocated to the programme for all presenters.

EMSO Travel Award
When creating an account, you will be asked if you would like to be considered for the ESMO Asia Travel Awards. Please click here for more information.

Abstract format

During the submission process you will be asked to load your abstract as plain text in a box rather than upload a word document. The word count for this is 400 words. During the process you will be asked to advise the names and affiliations of authors. This process allows for all abstracts to be formatted the same way.

Other Information

Acceptance of abstracts
Authors will be advised of the outcome of abstract assessment from mid August 2019.

Publication of abstracts
Accepted abstracts will be posted on the conference website and published in the conference app.

Registration
All presenters must register to attend the conference and are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and registration expenses. Registration will be available from April 2019.

Presenters must be registered by Friday 13 September to guarantee a place in the programme. Presenters will be eligible for registration at the early bird rate if registering by this date.

In previous years we have on occasion offered travel bursaries to student/trainees – this will not be universally available in 2019. Please let us know if financial hardship would otherwise prevent your travel to conference.
