Attendance grants

For NZSO 2026, there are 10 available attendance grants valued up to $1000 to be awarded. These are funds available to assist with your registration, travel, accommodation and/or childcare for your attendance at this conference. This is also open to local attendees.

If you wish to apply for this funding, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a current NZSO member
• You must have submitted an abstract for NZSO 2026 and been accepted as an oral presentation or poster
• You have unavailable existing support or lack of alternative funding sources to attend the conference, therefore real need for these funds.

If you would like to apply for this travel grant, you will be able to complete a form that will be included in abstract acceptance letters. You will be asked to provide 2 - 3 sentences as to your reasoning for these funds to be considered by the conference planning committee.

Applications close 5pm Tuesday 18 August. If successful, you will be required to provide receipts and a bank deposit slip for reimbursement.

This year, we are also offering attendance grants for nurses and allied health attendees on a needs basis to cover conference costs as well as childcare costs to attend the conference up to $500 each.
